New Toyota Fortuner 2021

Toyota has priced the Fortuner facelift at around Rs 29.98 lakh (for the base variant) and Rs 31.35 lakh (for the top-spec petrol model). Meanwhile, the diesel range gets the starting price of Rs 32.48 lakh and tops off at Rs 37.58 lakh for the newly-introduced Legender variant (all prices are ex-showroom). It’s worth noting that updates bring in more than just a revised look, both inside and out for the Fortuner in India. The new Toyota Fortuner Legender is a new and more-premium top-spec model in the full-grown SUV’s lineup. With the overall prices of around Rs 29.98 – 37.58 lakh, the new Toyota Fortuner 2021 is costlier than the pre-facelift Fortuner by a rough margin of Rs 3 lakh.   

Ford Endeavour

Ford Endeavour remains the oldest rival to the Toyota Fortuner in the full-fledged SUV segment. While the Fortuner has been an undisputed king of the category, Ford has smartly revised the prices of the new Endeavour to keep it highly competitive. The Ford Endeavour is going on sale with a price tag of Rs 29.99 for the base trim and Rs 35.45 lakh for the highest-spec model.

Do note that the Endeavour is only offered with a diesel engine option and the base diesel variant of the Fortuner facelift is commanding the price of Rs 32.48 lakh. Variant-to-variant wise, the standard diesel-AT variant of the Fortuner is significantly costlier than the equivalent model of Ford Endeavour which only uses an automatic transmission in its package. Overall, in its latest 2021 version, the Endeavour continues to be much more affordable than the Fortuner facelift that gives it quite an edge over the new facelifted Fortuner.

MG Gloster

Despite being a newcomer, MG made a quick jump in the bandwagon of premium full-size SUV with the new Gloster that make people quite awestruck. The MG Gloster price range starts from Rs 29.98 lakh that’s on par with the Fortuner and goes up to Rs 35.58 lakh for the top-spec trim, which is Rs 2 lakh cheaper than the range-topping Fortuner.

The MG Gloster also endears itself with a couple of segment-first features including 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with heating and massage function and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Besides that, wireless charging, cabin air filter, lane-departure warning and blind-spot detection are some of the prominent features the Gloster has on offer.
