Looking for a steal deal in the used car market? We’ve got a brilliant one for you right here!

Tata Tiago is the most affordable Tata car in India right now, and despite being built to conform to a tight budget, it is a pretty nice car. The base price of the car starts from as low as Rs. 4.6 lakh, and goes all the way up to Rs. 6.6 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). Now, what would you say if you were told that there’s a sparingly used Tiago available for a significant discount over a new one? If your answer is “I'm interested," then keep reading ahead.

Used Tata Tiago front profile

The car seen in the pictures here is a 2018 Tata Tiago XE petrol, registered in Ghaziabad. The ‘XE’ trim is the base variant, the cheapest of the lot. There are no visible signs of damage to the exterior, and even the paint seems to be in perfect condition. Inside the cabin too, we see no red flags, at not visually. There are custom seat covers provided on all seats. Also, this second-hand car has a spare wheel, which is good. The lack of one would mean that an additional cost has to be borne by the new buyer. The odometer has clocked only 6,000 km, which means that the car hasn't been used much. The asking price is just Rs. 3.65 lakh! Comparing that to a new Tata Tiago XE (Rs. 5.31 lakh, on-road, Ghaziabad), we see that this used model has more than 30 per cent lower price. Even in the base variant, the Tata Tiago comes with a tachometer and a multi-information display. AC vents and power windows are available for the front passengers. As for the powertrain, this model has a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, inline-3, ‘Revotron’ petrol motor. It can generate a maximum power of 85 PS and a peak torque of 113 Nm. The transmission is a 5-speed manual unit, which sends power to the front wheels.

If you are browsing the used car market, you might also be interested in the diesel-powered Tiago, which had a 1.05-litre, turbocharged, inline-3 engine. The maximum power and peak torque figures are 70 PS and 140 Nm, respectively. It too was paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. There’s also a 5-speed AMT available on the petrol variant if you’re seeking more comfort.
