The electric car market remains very small in India currently, but will have to expand rapidly to meet with stricter emissions. MG is planning to make an electric compact SUV to tackle it.

MG has unveiled its ZS EV in India, which will be officially launched by January 2020. Initially, MG will launch ZS EV in India in five major cities- Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
MG is all set to conceive its second model in the lineup, in the form eZS electric SUV. The EV has been spotted on test partially draped in camouflage.
The recently-launched MG Hector will be upgraded to meet the new BSVI emission norms. Introduction of the BSVI-ready SUV is expected to happen in January next year.
