Audi is on a roll in India, with new launches every few months. After the A6, Audi's next launch will be the Q8 SUV in January 2020.
The Deutsche manufacturer Audi has had a great SUV lineup, which gave provided it with a good market share. The massive Q7, sensible Q5, and the volume gathering Q3, all have been performing well in the Indian market. But the manufacturer never had a flashy SUV in its lineup to directly rival the likes of BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. To fill this gap the German Auto marque has finally decided to bring the Q8 SUV to Indian shores. The launch for this flagship luxury SUV is scheduled on 15th January 2020 and will be an important launch at the 2020 Auto Expo, as the manufacturer has announced its non-participation at the 2020 Auto Expo.
Audi Q8 is the flagship SUV of the German manufacturer and will be launched in India on January 15, 2020.
The Audi Q8 is will be the second product from the manufacturer after it has announced to bring petrol-only cars to India. Skipping the option of a diesel engine might not be a great choice since the Indian market loves pouring the lesser fuel in their big expensive cars. Thus, the Q8 is expected to come with a 3.0-litre petrol motor that belts out 340bhp. The transmission duties are expected to be performed by an 8-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic function and Audi’s Quattro AWD system.
The Q8 is a visual treat to eyes with an imposing yet sporty stance.
Visually, the Q8 is a treat to eyes, thanks to its imposing silhouette and stance. At the front, it gets an aggressive face with a wide grille and futuristic design for the headlamps with Matrix-LED technology and 3D effect for the DRLs. Moving to the sides, the car is even more flashy courtesy the sloping roofline, high shoulder line, and massive 22-inch wheels, which make the Q8 stand out from the other Audi SUVs. The rear end is designed in such a way that it gives the car a squatting stance with an LED tail lamps that are connected with a light strip, the same as on the A8 luxury sedan.

Its long wheelbase ensures that there is enough legroom and knee-room for everyone sitting in the car, while the long feature list also ensures that everyone’s happy. That feature-list consists of 4 screens in total, a 10.1-inch MMI screen for the infotainment system, an 8.6-inch for climate controls and the likes, a 12.3-inch screen for the virtual cockpit, and another screen for the second-row climate controls. Other features in the car include 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, curb assist, rear-wheel steer and more.
With an expected price tag of Rs. 1.0 to 1.5 Crore, the Q8 will rival the likes the of BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe AMG, the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Coupe, and other luxury SUVs sold in the Indian market.
