Maruti Dzire Crossed 2 Million Sales Mark, Leading The Sub-4 -meter Sedan Space

Following the Swift which crossed the 2 million sales mark last year, Maruti Dzire has finally reached the memorable milestone this year.

Ever since its launch in 2008, Maruti Suzuki Dzire has successfully retained its segment-leading position. It is estimated that from April to November this year, Maruti has sold 1.2 lakh units of the Dzire, crossing a total sales mark of 20 lakh and making it the best-selling model in the sedan segment. The existing Dzire is the third-generation model launched in May 2017.

The current Maruti Dzire is underpinned by the Heartect platform. One key factor contributing to its huge success must be the smart and elegant design of the car. Moreover, being well-equipped also significantly elevates its value in the eyes of car buyers. Maruti Dzire is fully-loaded with a long list of features, including LED headlights with DRLs, rear AC vents, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Android Auto and Apple Car Play, push-button engine start/stop, along with leather-covered steering wheel are some highlight features on the interior. Coming to the safety front, this sub-four-meter sedan is equipped with a range of standard features like twin airbags, ABS with EBD, co-driver seatbelt reminder, rear parking camera with sensors, and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.

About the engine options, the Maruti Dzire is available with both diesel and petrol motors. The petrol variants are powered by a K12M 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 82PS and a top torque of 113Nm. The diesel engine is a D13A 1.3-litre diesel engine that produces a power output of 75PS and 190Nm. These engines are mated to either a 5-speed AMT or a 5-speed manual unit. The ARAI fuel mileages are rated at 22 kmpl and 28.4 kmpl for the diesel and petrol powertrain respectively.
