2020 Maruti Brezza has finally arrived. The facelift Brezza is expected to win back the segment-leading position with its fully-loaded feature package.
The 2020 Marui Vitara Brezza has been one of the most anticipated launches of the year. After making a debut at the 2020 Auto Expo, the segment-leading SUV has finally launched at the starting price of Rs 7.34 lakh. It comes in four variants, including LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+, which is similar to the previous version. However, on the facelift version, the variant-wise features will be revised, marking a significant enhancement for the Brezza. IndianAuto will detail the features of each and every variant available on the Brezza range.
Let’s start with the entry-level variant of the Maruti Brezza, the LXI. Offered at the price of Rs 7.34 lakh, the Brezza gets halogen headlights with projector, LED light guide, LED taillights, body-colour door handles and ORVMs along with chrome finish on the front grille and boot lid. On the inside, Maruti will provide the standard model with some must-have features like four speakers and a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity.
2020 Maruti Brezza gets some new exterior and interior features compared to the old version
On the safety front, Maruti Brezza will come with the standard safety features like dual airbags, ABS and EBD along with ISOFIX child seat mounts. With a packed feature list, even on the lowest-priced variant, Maruti Brezza will not disappoint buyers. Maruti Brezza LXI is available in five exterior colour schemes, Granite Grey, Torque Blue, Premium Silver, Autumn Orange and Arctic White. On the entry-level trim, Maruti does not offer an automatic gearbox option.

Coming next on the list is the VXI trim. For the above-entry variant, Maruti has added some features to the package. Maruti Brezza VXI comes with LED projector headlights with LED DLRs, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, wheel caps, contrasting black roof rail. On the inside, to enhance the comfort, Maruti has given the VXI some additional comfort features like seat headrest, steering-mounted controls for audio system and Bluetooth connectivity, automatic climate control, remote keyless entry and push-button start and keyless entry. Alongside, the VXI also gets an illuminated glove box. Along with 5 colour options provided on the LXI, the Vxi also receive a new Sizzling Red option.
From this variant upward, Maruti Brezza will be offered with an automatic gearbox option. The automatic version, in particular, will get some driving assistance functions like hill hold assist and gear position indicator.
From the mid-range ZXi variant, Maruti Brezza will start presenting its highlight features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, 60:40 adjustable rear seats, height-adjustable driver seats and rear wiper and washer. The functionality is enhanced with the addition of a rear parcel tray, sunglass holder and cup-holder-integrated rear centre armrest. Along with these additional comfort features, the Zxi also distinguishes itself from the lower variants with a couple of new cosmetic features including a gunmetal grey roof rails, chrome-garnished door handles, illuminated cargo space, silver skid plates, piano black element for AC vents, and multi-coloured meter illumination.
Maruti Brezza ZXi starts to get more premium features like touchscreen and more
The top-spec Zxi+ is where the Maruti Brezza comes at full force with all the bells and whistles.
Exteriorly, Maruti Brezza Zxi+ features LED fog lamps, 16-inch machined alloy wheels power foldable ORVMs. On top of that, car buyers are offered with extended exterior colour scheme options. Besides the four monotone schemes, the Maruti Brezza Zxi+ is available with various will also get three dual-tone choices including Sizzling Red-Midnight Black, Torque Blue-Midnight Black and Granite Grey-Autumn Orange.
Top-of-the-line Maruti Brezza Zxi+ comes with all bells and whistles
On the inside, car occupants can enjoy a first-class experience with premium features like sliding centre armrest for the front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, reverse parking camera, two tweeters, height-adjustable front seat belts, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, leather steering wheel and cooled glove box.
Compared to the old Brezza, the facelift version is revised with some minor exterior updates, for example, a new grille, new front bumper and refreshed foglamp housings along with new LED headlights, dual-function LED DRLs, LED foglights and 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. On the inside, the new Maruti Brezza comes with new features like leather-covered steering wheels, Smartplay infotainment system as well as techno-effect accents.
The most noteworthy update on the Maruti Brezza is the new set of powertrain options. AK15B 1.5-litre VVT petrol engine enters the range as a replacement for the old 1.3-litre diesel engine, marking the discontinuation of the diesel Maruti Brezza. The new 1.5-litre petrol engine could be mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Being compliant with the upcoming BSVI emission norms, the new engine can put out a top power of Rs 104.69 PS and a maximum torque of 138 Nm. In terms of fuel efficiency, Maruti Brezza can return the mileage of 17.03 kmpl and 18.76 kmpl for the manual and automatic version, respectively. The automatic Brezza can lock a higher fuel efficiency rating owing to the use of the Progressive Smart Hybrid mild-hybrid setting.
