You are a fan of Hyundai Venue but want to 'go green' on your road trips? Here's a Hyundai Venue turbo-CNG that is not only environmentally-friendly but also performed well on the long Baroda-Goa expressway.

Hyundai brought out its latest entrant into the sub-four-metre SUV segment, the Hyundai Venue just a few months back. The all-new compact SUV has quickly become a runaway hit for the brand in India and even took the lead on the sales chart for around a month or two. It is still one of the largest-selling SUV in India to date with more than 50,000 units sold within 6 months. Hyundai Venue is quite a capable SUV by itself, but some car owners just want something out of the ordinary. They started modifying the Venue with a CNG kit on board and here is such a good example of the Hyundai Venue Turbo-CNG. The below video shows how a Turbo-CNG powered Hyundai Venue performed on the Baroda-Goa trip after the mod job.

The Hyundai Venue featured in the video is a top-end 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol model that gets all components from a regular CNG kit. The video starts with the SUV pulling over on the road on Gurajat’s Baroda city, on its way to the destination ‘Goa’. The driver shows all the gauges of the Venue CNG and how far the car has done after the last refilling. The video then also mentions about the CNG fuel stations alongside their road trips. We could see the driver stop to fill up the Venue several times and explain the exact locations of the stations to which he went.

The Hyundai Venue has scored a 4-star rating from ANCAP crash test

It takes the Hyundai Venue Turbo-petrol CNG around 24 hours to drive from Baroda to Goa and it performed pretty well on the road. Along with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox, the SUV ran seamlessly without facing any issues. Nowhere during theentire trip did the warning lights come up. The throttle response was also good, and all that combined into a fun-to-drive experience for its driver and a comfortable ride for the passengers.

To recapitulate briefly, powering this Hyundai Venue used in the video is a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that is capable of generating 118 BHP of max power and 172 Nm of peak torque. The exact power and torque figures of the SUV after customized with a CNG kit remains unknown. However, we expect a drop in the outputs of the CNG-powered car. In the stock version, the Hyundai Venue is also available with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated gasoline engine making 82 HP of power and 114 Nm of torque along with a 1.4-litre diesel unit tuned to produce 89 BHP/ 220 Nm of torque.
