New Hyundai Creta Ventures Off Road, Performs Better Than Expectations

The popularity of the Hyundai Creta has helped it receive more than 1.15 lakh bookings in a short period of time. Despite being an amber SUV with a wide range of features, the Hyundai Creta is not a capable SUV with only an FWD system. Nevertheless, the new Creta comes with a high ground clearance, which enables the SUV to easily overcome normal broken roads and bad patches. At the beginning of the video, the Hyundai Creta is shown to be parked on a rocky river bed. It is a base E trim diesel variant which has been equipped with aftermarket alloy rims. The vlogger enters the car and then begins to drive it through the rocky river bed, which has been cleared off any sections with fewer rocks and is considered to be a patch of hard roads. The road can now be used as a track for cars, bikes or other vehicles.

The vlogger aggressively drives over the track with the Creta being in control. After that, a water crossing is available and the vlogger manages to enter and exit the water without any difficulties. Nevertheless, this is, in fact, not a good practice; you are advised to get down and check the depth of the section and whether any obstacles exist. If the section is too deep, the water is likely to enter the intake and the motor can be hydro-locked. If you are not familiar with the region, you should always cross such sections carefully and slowly. In the whole section, the Hyundai Creta did not hit the bottom in any places, thanks to its decent ground clearance.

The SUV receives its power from a 1.4-litre turbo gasoline burner, a 1.5-litre NA petrol unit and a 1.5-litre oil burner. In India, it competes against the Tata Harrier, MG Hector and Kia Seltos in the mid-size SUV segment.
