Just a week ago, Audi India has confirmed that the highly-anticipated electric SUV of the company – Audi e-tron will surely make it to the Indian land. While the German luxury auto marque has been well-established among the regular sports and luxury sedan models, the Audi e-tron marks the company’s very first entrant into the world of all-electric high-performance SUVs.
The Audi e-tron first made its public debut in 2018 and it is set to hit its showrooms in our country for some time in late this year. The all-electric SUV will derive the energy from a 95 kWh Lithium-ion battery combined with twin-electric motor setup, tuned to produce up to 561 Nm of peak torque. With that decent figure, the Audi e-tron can rocket to 100 kmph from a standstill in just 6.6 seconds and while the Boost Mode can sharply reduce this number to 5.7 seconds. On a full single charge, the Audi e-tron can cover a range of more than 400 kilometres and can be charged from 0 – 80 per cent in just 30 minutes through a fast charger.
