Following the all-conquering success of Maruti Swift, the Hyundai Grand i10 (known as the second-gen i10 globally) has been the second largest-selling model in its segment. The bad blood between Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai in India has been well reflected by the competition between the Grand i10 and Swift. Hyundai first introduced the smartly-designed Grand i10 amid much fanfare in the country and it managed to attract a great number of buyers ever since its launch. The urban runabout is a complete package which is a good mix of modern style and engineering along with advanced electronic bits.
Quite obviously then, the Grand i10 is a bit ahead of its time by introducing features like engine push-button start, rear AC vents to the B+ car segment. And its all-new avatar, named the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the car has upped the game with a refreshed and reloaded package of the existing popular offering. Both Tigor’s motors score well in terms of fuel efficiency. While the ARAI-certified mileage figure of the petrol engine is at 20.3 kmpl, the oil burner achieves 24.7 kmpl. On the highway, the petrol models can deliver roughly 18.5 kmpl while the diesel variants do it with 21.5 kmpl.
